RESOURCES REAL ESTATE SELECTED FOR MEMBERSHIP IN LEADING REAL ESTATE COMPANIES OF THE WORLD – Affiliation Extends Resources Real Estate’s Global Reach Further

RUMSON, NJ: Resources Real Estate has been selected for membership into Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (Leading RE), Thomas McCormack, Broker and Senior Partner announced today. This global real estate community comprises 550 real estate companies awarded membership based on rigorous standards for service and performance.

Thomas McCormack, Broker and Senior Partner

“As a member of LeadingRE, Resources Real Estate combines authentic, local expertise with unparalleled global resources,” said McCormack. “Combined with our membership in Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, this elevates our brand, our agents, our marketing and provides even greater international exposure for our clients through new marketing channels and referral relationships.”

Leading RE membership is awarded only to select, market-leading companies that have demonstrated excellence in service delivery and results. “We are thrilled to have been welcomed into this esteemed organization,” said McCormack.

Headquartered in Monmouth County, NJ, Resources Real Estate is an established leader in the New Jersey residential and commercial real estate markets and is currently celebrating 20 years of success along with their team of approximately 100 agents and staff.

With its membership in Leading RE, the company’s reach extends far beyond the local area. With 4,600 offices and 135,000 sales associates in 70 countries, Leading RE firms represent 1.1 million global transactions annually. These connections bring global exposure and a broader pool of prospective buyers for the homes Resources Real Estate represents. And for those looking for real estate outside of the area — perhaps even out of the country — Resources Real Estate can now provide assistance through LeadingRE’s worldwide network of vetted real estate firms.

“We are delighted to have Resources Real Estate as part of our distinguished network of premier brokerages. The company has an impeccable reputation in New Jersey, and we are committed to helping the firm achieve even greater success,” said Paul Boomsma, president and CEO of Leading RE.

The value of being aligned with LeadingRE, however, is much more than just a discerning third-party endorsement. LeadingRE members have access to world-class resources for marketing, technology and professional development for sales agents and staff.

“In an industry made up of over 100,000 brokerages characterized by dramatically inconsistent service delivery and customer experience, our members set the standard for quality in the markets they serve,” said Boomsma.

Membership in LeadingRE is highly coveted and the network’s commitment to quality is taken very seriously: only 20% of the companies that inquire about membership are extended an invitation to affiliate, according to Boomsma.

“All of our firms are deeply rooted in their communities – independently owned, with an uncommon local knowledge that allows them to help clients make better-informed real estate decisions,” Boomsma said.

“We have seen great volatility in our industry locally with mergers and acquisitions consolidating much of our competition,” said McCormack, “This has only strengthened our belief in the value of being an independent, locally-owned firm offering world class brokerage services that are not subject to the shareholder pressures and corporate interests of ‘big box’ real estate companies.”
McCormack added, “We are fiercely proud of our independence and our partnership with LeadingRE will further support our mission to provide award-winning exceptional service to our clients.”

Plans for The Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation Announced To Promote Causes of late Local Philanthropist & Resources Real Estate Founder | 4/24/19

Shrewsbury, N.J. April 11th 2019 — Resources Real Estate and the family of the late Carolynn Ozar Diakon have announced the creation of The Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation, an organization to support the philanthropic interests of the company’s founder who passed in January.

The foundation, which is currently in development, will focus its support on empowering women facing life challenges of all kinds as well as promoting the legacy of the local philanthropist. It will be directed by her husband Robert Diakon, their 3 grown children Gabriel Diakon, Christopher Ozar and Brett Diakon, as well as Thomas McCormack, Broker of Resources Real Estate.

RESOURCES REAL ESTATE MOURNS THE LOSS OF COMPANY FOUNDER, CAROLYNN DIAKON | 1/30/19

RESOURCES REAL ESTATE MOURNS THE LOSS OF COMPANY FOUNDER, CAROLYNN DIAKON

SHREWSBURY, NJ  January 29, 2019:  With great sadness, Resources Real Estate announced the passing of founder and Senior Partner, Carolynn Diakon, at home among family on January 27, 2019.

Diakon created Resources Real Estate to fill a need for an independent, non-corporate, agency with a highly trained sales and support staff and top-of-the-line marketing. She opened her first location in 2000. Her focus was always on providing exceptional service to clients and hiring agents who subscribed to the highest level of professionalism, ethics and training.

Diakon’s bold, sometimes brash, out-of-of-the-box thinking yielded great results which resulted in the company’s numerous accolades including being listed on Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. — the Inc. 5000 — for three years running, as well as NJBiz250 which similarly recognizes the top private companies in New Jersey.  The company has also received multiple awards for its marketing.

Active in her local community, Diakon was a philanthropist and advocate for many causes. She worked and supported numerous local charities including Monmouth Historical Association, Mental Health Association of Monmouth County, Lunch Break and 180 Turning Lives Around and was awarded the Clara Barton Corporate Humanitarian Award by the NJ Red Cross in 2013. Diakon was a contributor to the Huffington Post and Forbes.com, a frequent recipient of the NJ Realtor Circle of Excellence award, a member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, the Board of Regents of Luxury Real Estate and the Forbes Real Estate Council.

Both of Diakon’s adult children, Christopher Ozar and Gabrielle Diakon, are currently agents with the company and have expanded the company’s business into Hudson County, NJ. Her husband, Bob Diakon, has been an active participant in the company’s activities.

Along with partner Thomas McCormack, Diakon grew the company to over 90 agents and staff with four sales locations including its new Shrewsbury office which opened last week. Diakon was always active in expanding the company and new business development. This past year the company opened a real estate school, NJ Real Estate Prep, a corporate management and marketing center and a title company, Resources Title.

“Carolynn’s passing is a tremendous loss, not just for Resources Real Estate, but for the entire real estate community,” said McCormack. “We have heard from agents across the country and around the globe expressing their grief. She had a commanding and dynamic presence that filled the room. Her passion for living life to the fullest, persevering despite obstacles and always striving for something greater has inspired many both within and outside our company to excel. And that legacy will be felt for years to come.”

Resources Real Estate Releases Its Third Quarter Market Report | 11/19/18

Resources Real Estate Releases Its Third Quarter Market Report

A TALE OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND

Shrewsbury, NJ, November 15th, 2018 – Resources Real Estate has announced that it has released its Third Quarter Market report for 2018. The report, which can be found on the company’s website, tells the tale of shrinking inventory, and higher prices in certain price ranges  for many of the towns in Monmouth County.

With homes on the market for a shorter period of time, turnover is a main thrust of the report. Homes were selling quicker, with “Days on the Market” down almost across the board. Lower inventory, which has been a factor in the national real estate narrative, was an issue for 75% of Resources Real Estate’s surveyed markets. The good news is that the median sale price was up in 75% of the surveyed markets, as well as in the county as a whole. Unit sales were up in half of the communities surveyed.

“The supply vs. demand dynamic is always at work and our market is no exception,” said Carolynn Diakon, Founder and Senior Partner, “Scarcity brings the opportunity of higher prices,” she said. However, pricing correctly, readying the property for the marketing launch and the superior level of the marketing we offer makes a huge difference to the successful sale – even when limited supply.

“For buyers, it means being diligent and working with a professional who has the tools and market knowledge to help you succeed in identifying suitable properties quickly, understanding market value and implementing a strategy to make sure an offer is accepted,” said Thomas McCormack, Managing Partner. “Likewise, for sellers, blind enthusiasm is not the best strategy for success and smart pricing remains key,” he said.

Prime Commercial Property in Red Bank Sells With Resources Real Estate | 10/25/18

Prime Commercial Property in Red Bank Sells With Resources Real Estate

JO ANN DAVENPORT RESOURCES REAL ESTATE COMMERCIAL DIVISION SELLS ONE BROAD STREET

Red Bank, NJ: Jo Ann Davenport, Resources Real Estate Commercial Division Manager recently sold One Broad Street in Red Bank in less than thirty days. The retail property, which is in a prime commercial location at the gateway to the town’s downtown, had been for sale with multiple brokers and by owner for the last four years.

One Broad Street, a mixed use building and former home of Heritage Liquors, sits on a prime corner of Red Bank’s retail district — at Broad and Front Streets.

“All this property needed was the right team behind it,” said Jo Ann Davenport, Resources Real Estate Commercial Division Manager. “We were able to use our extensive resources to market the property for optimum exposure and identified the buyer in less than 30 days.”

“This is one of the best retail locations in Red Bank but clearly needed a true local market expert to get it sold otherwise it wouldn’t have sat on the market for so long,” said Carolynn Diakon, Founder and Senior Partner of Resources Real Estate.  “The sale of this property is a testament to the power of our firm. We know the Red Bank commercial market and have the know-how to get the job done. Jo Ann Davenport did an excellent job.”

“The expansion of our commercial division under Jo Ann Davenport’s supervision is an exciting development for Resources Real Estate,” said Thomas McCormack, Managing Partner. “In addition to the quick sale, this transaction was notable because of its sale price at $367 per square foot — recent sales have been closer to $290.”

With the company’s focus on training and marketing, Resources Real Estate’s commercial division is already seeing positive growth.

“This sale speaks to our brand’s power and position in the marketplace,” said Davenport. “We are excited to be working with more and more commercial clients throughout Monmouth County.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Todd’s Book Break Launched by Resources Real Estate Agents

Photo courtesy of Red Bank Green

Red Bank, NJ, November 28th, 2017 – This Thanksgiving season, the children of Red Bank had one more thing to be thankful for.  Resources Real Estate’s sales associates (and husband and wife) Allison and Mark Gregory launched Todd’s Book Break at the corner of Bank & Tilton streets in Red Bank, right next to their home at 109 Bank Street. Todd’s Book Break is a small library that allows children in the area to borrow books as well as leave donated books.  The library box was created in honor of Norma Todd, the former owner of the house.

A longtime Red Bank resident, Norma Todd, who passed in April 2008, was famous for co-founding Lunch Break, a non-profit charity organization that provides food, clothing, life skills and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond.  Mrs. Todd served as the organization’s Executive Director for more than 25 years and left a legacy of love and determination as her banner.

The name Todd’s Book Break was chosen by Norma Todd’s daughters, Angela Todd and Ann Todd.  The daughters wrote a book about their adventures traveling the world with their mother and father, James Todd, who served in the US Foreign Services.  Copies of the book are also available at Todd’s Book Break.

“When we bought the house we didn’t know Norma Todd used to live here,” said Mark Gregory. “The library box was inspired by the steady flow of visitors to the house.  These were people whose lives had been influenced by Norma Todd.  They wanted to share stories and, I think, make sure we knew how special the home we bought was.  We realized we have to keep her memory alive.”

Allison and Mark held a small ribbon cutting ceremony on October 28th to dedicate the library box.  Guests at the ceremony included Gwendolyn Love, the current executive director of Lunch Break, several representatives of the local Republican Committee, who donated the box, and colleagues from Resources Real Estate, who assisted with refreshments, materials and distributing flyers to get the word out.  Home & Land Development of Rumson mounted the library box in the ground, and the library was ready to go.

“Both Mark and I are proud agents at Resources,” said Allison Gregory.  “We are grateful for their support of this event and for helping to make it happen.”

More information about Lunch Break and the great work they do is available on their website http://lunchbreak.org
